The university district is located to the southeast of the city of Makkah Al-Mukarramah in the area south of the holy sites and is about ten kilometers from the Grand Mosque, what distinguishes the site is that a large part of it is located within the boundaries of the Haram, it is also considered a link between Al-Awali district and the university city, in addition to its proximity to Al-Hada-Taif road, which is only one kilometer away. The area of the project is about 270 hectares, the nature of the site, its topography, and the environmental and climatic conditions surrounding it were analyzed and taken into account in developing alternatives for site planning and design, especially with regard to linking it to the neighboring neighborhoods, the university city, and the surrounding road network.
